About Quezon City

Quezon City is an undeniably progressive city. In fact, it is the most progressive in Metro Manila hence opportunities abound. May you be a millennial who is seeking his rightful place in the corporate world or family breadwinner who cannot give up her career, get to experience where this progress can take you by living here.

Named after the second Philippine president, Manuel L. Quezon, Quezon City is the most populous city in the country. Two notable districts are Cubao and Novaliches.

Cubao is an important commercial area in Quezon City, Philippines. At its heart is the Araneta Center, along EDSA (C-4) and Aurora Boulevard. It houses a number of shopping malls catering to the middle-class Filipinos, such as the Ali Mall (named after the boxing legend Mohammad Ali), The Farmers Plaza, and the modern Gateway Mall. Department stores and retail centers can also be found here, such as Plaza Fair, Rustan’s, Shopwise Supercenter, and Makro. At the center is Araneta Coliseum, often called the Big Dome. Many musical concerts, religious crusades, wrestling, cock-fighting and basketball games are held in this 50,000-capacity coliseum.

North from Araneta Center along EDSA (C-4) are numerous bus terminals, a place where one can take a bus ride to almost any point in Luzon as well as in the Visayas especially in Samar, Leyte, and Iloilo. It is also an intersection point for two of city’s commuter trains (The EDSA MRT which travels from North to South, and the LRT-2 which runs from East to West).

Novaliches is an ever booming district in north Quezon City, and the largest district in the city. Novaliches is not a city, and yet the establishments are as modern as noticeable. Some of the most recognized shopping malls are Ayala Fairview Terraces, SM City Fairview and Robinsons Novaliches, which are conveniently located in Maligaya St. and Regalado Avenue along Quirino Highway. Each of these malls had also introduced their own annual events.

One of its main crowd drawers is the La Mesa Eco Park, the only forest park in Mega Manila. This park is a major natural hideaway in Quezon City. Areas of interest are the grotto, butterfly sanctuary, fishing lagoon, zip line area and swimming pool.

Novaliches, further, is slowly finding its niche in terms of food tourism, taking cues from its neighboring Malabon that introduced tricycle tours. Novaliches introduced its community food streets, a walking tour around neighborhood restaurants. Choices vary from Chinese diners to exotic restaurants.
